The Treasurer of the Lambda Chi Alpha, JWU Charlotte Chapter, approached us to design a t-shirt for their recruiting events. Each fall and spring semester, their chapter would hold events to recruit more students into the fraternity, and they wanted a new t-shirt design to recruit more guys.
Our idea was to create a modern sports team logo for Lambda Chi Alpha: they are known for their white roses, and their animal is a Lion. The fraternity is deep in its historical roots, so we adopted their original crest shape and moon/cross into this modern look.
My biggest challenge was getting the right shapes in Illustrator. When I got into this jam, I printed out my simple shapes, drew my lines by hand, and scanned/traced my new lines.
