Amnesty International USA faced a significant challenge in raising awareness for Leonard Peltier. They partnered with Teal Media to create a social media campaign to garner public support and urge President Biden to free Peltier. The result was a successful campaign that significantly boosted social engagement on Amnesty International's Instagram page.
As the motion designer for the project, I was responsible for sourcing a music track, animating the scenes, and determining how the objects should transition. The content was impactful, so I suggested adding a camera shake to draw more attention to the call to action. Additionally, I created gritty animated textures to complement the halftone design.
While securing Leonard Peltier’s release remains a work in progress, the campaign significantly raised the issue’s profile.
